Hair is one of the most important physical characteristics in our society today.  There are many strong associations attached to hair.  In recent studies, researchers have found that based on one’s hair, people associate varying levels of power, virtue, strength, and virility to a person.  It is not an overstatement to claim that your hair says a lot about the type of person you are.  All of these issues make the reality of early hair loss that much more significant.
One of the leading factors of early hair loss has to do with genetics.  If one of your parents experienced early hair loss, you are also more likely to experience it at a young age.
For those suffering from hair loss, they know that it is can be a very embarrassing situation.  With such strong qualities associated with it, hair loss is not something to take lightly.  The good news is that there are several treatments on the market today that help cure people dealing with hair loss.  But before any treatment can work, you must first identify the specific reason for the loss.
There are many things that lead to early hair loss.  Understanding what causes your hair loss is one of the first steps to defeating it.  Of the many things that can cause hair loss, stress is one of the more dangerous factors.
Stress can manifest itself for a variety of different reasons.  One such example would be a condition called telogen effluvium, where a person undergoes severe stress as a result of surgery or a major illness.  This form of stress can lead to hair loss for as long as 6 months to a year.
Other forms of stress that cause hair loss result from an overactive lifestyle.  With our increasingly fast-paced society, we regularly find ourselves engaged in several different things at once.  The increased stress can lead to many types of physical health problems,
A person’s hair can tell volumes about their level of stress.  For example, healthy, shining looking hair is usually an indicator that a person is generally happy and serene.  On the other hand, dry, dull, lifeless looking hair is an indicator that a person is in a depressing state or is struggling to adapt.
The human body has many ways of protecting itself.  One of those ways is to alarm us through hair loss.  Hair loss is one of the ways in which the body tells us that we need to change something in our lives.  If given proper attention, stress can be managed and not lead to more severe physical problems.
