Women Hair Loss Treatment

Women Hair Loss Treatment

Hair loss has many different causes.  The causes for hair loss in men can differ rather sharply to those for women. For those that are experiencing hair loss, the first step to defeating it is to successfully diagnose the cause of your hair loss.  There are plenty of reasons for hair loss and figuring out the right diagnoses is a task in itself.  Perhaps the best way to reach a diagnosis would be to consult a dermatologist.  Even still, it is good to be armed with some possible causes so that you can effectively figure out how to stop your hair loss.
The leading cause for hair loss in men and women is a condition known as male pattern baldness or female pattern baldness, respectively.  This form of hair loss is usually passed down from parent to child, but is treatable.  Minoxidil (aka Rogaine) is a non-prescription drug that is applied directly to the scalp.  Rogaine can take up to 6 months to show any affects and does not work for everyone.
Hormone imbalances are also a leading cause for hair loss in women.  The treatment for hormone imbalance is fairly straightforward – return the hormones to their proper levels.  Two factors that are known to cause abnormal hormone levels in women are the birth control pill and pregnancy.  Hair loss in pregnancy is usually experienced several weeks after the pregnancy is over.  The effects are temporary and pose no long term hair loss risks.
Women’s menstrual cycles are known to lower the regular levels of iron in a women’s body.  Low levels of iron are known to cause increased hair loss.  Foods high and iron as well as iron pill supplements will help return iron levels to their normal state and stop problems with hair loss.
Tricomin is another hair loss treatment product that has had much success in curing hair loss.  Tricomin’s active ingredient is Copper Peptide, which serves to stimulate hair to grow more rapidly.  Generally hair goes through a cycle of growing, resting, and shedding.  Approximately 90% of our hair is in the growth phase, whereas the remaining 10% is in the rest phase.  Tricomin shortens the resting phase of the hair, causing more hair to be growing at any given time.  The result of this treatment is more hair growth and less hair loss.
There are many treatments and causes of hair loss.  The best way to treat hair loss is to know why the hair is falling out in the first place.  In some cases, hair loss is the result of another, more serious physical problem not related to the hair.  Seeing a health care professional is usually the best first step to figuring out how exactly to stop your hair loss and regain your full head of hair.
